Ms. Amanda Aguirre appointed by the White House for HRSA National Advisory Committee on Rural Health and Human Services

Yuma, AZ (August 29, 2024) The Regional Center for Border Health, Inc., Board of Directors and Staff would like to congratulate Ms. Amanda Aguirre, Former Arizona State Senator, and current President & CEO of this non-profit organization for her recent White House appointment as a Member of the Health Resources and Services Administration's (HRSA) National Advisory Committee on Rural Health and Human Services (NACRHHS).

The NACRHHS provides advice and recommendations to the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, Xavier Becerra on issues related to how the Department and its programs serve rural communities. 

This Committee will focus attention and existing resources on rural health and human service problems, such as the provision and financing of health care and human services in rural areas.

Among the Duties, the NACRHHS shall have the option to produce reports on key rural issues along with recommendations for possible solutions and may solicit input from the Department and the field regarding issues on which to focus.

Ms. Amanda Aguirre has been involved for more than 35 years in healthcare and business administration.
